Through her mixed media work, Fraser explores the experience of being a woman by placing her subjects in surreal worlds. Through combining embroidery, collage and printmaking, her drawings layer found print and images, patterns and textures. Born from life studies and inspired by surrealism, her drawings are a daily meditation, communicating difficult emotion. 

The drawings are constructed with embroidery, a women's craft. Rope, thread and string are used as a symbol of both strong bonds and restriction.
